Summer holidays in the Swiss Mountains

From rambles across colourful rough pastures and along traditional irrigation channels (bisses) through to spectacular high-altitude and extended treks – all of these can be found in Graechen. The ‘Europaweg’ (Europe Trail) from Graechen to Zermatt is regarded as the crowning sector of the several-day Monte Rosa Tour.

Grächen Matterhorn Valley

The Hannigalp and Seetalhorn cableways provide access to a fantastic panorama. Fearless mountain bikers can venture down the 7-km-long downhill trail from Seetalhorn to Graechen. Seetalhorn – peaks at 3037 metres and sunny terrace restaurant at 2868 metres with wonderful panoramic views.
Graechen Hiking

For children, there is much to discover in the family park. A holiday’s afternoon can disappear in a flash on the exclusive ‘Ravensburg Spieleweg’ (a games trail for the entire family) or in Robi’s Play Park with its haunted house, giant slide, fairytale themed-walk and more. Even Pippi Longstocking spends her holidays in Graechen and gets up to lots of mischief every Wednesday afternoon.

Kneipp Cures in Graechen
Switzerland's first large Kneipp Garden. Even for tiny tots. “Kneipp” park – measuring 2500 m2 in size, Switzerland’s largest Kneipp garden is embedded in the natural landscape above the Graechersee (Lake of Graechen) and has hydrotherapy facilities, dry basins filled with pebbles and an herb garden.
